Romantic Birthday Gift Ideas for Her
A gift is more than an expression of love, but a measurement of how well you know your partner. A woman appreciates a man who has paid attention enough to know her likes and dislikes. Some women like extravagance and some are pleased with simplicity.
When choosing the ideal gift...
* Keep your partner's personality in mind
* Stay within your financial means
* Don't try to impress, but "express"
Fragrance
There are many options in choosing a scented gift from perfumes and lotions to body sprays or a combination gift basket. For a fresh scent, choose something with citrus, such as mandarin, lemon or lime. For floral, options include...jasmine, rose and gardenia. Floral scents are often combined to create a distinctive bouquet. Oriental is one of my favorites with scents of vanilla, patchouli or musk. Chypre is a woodsy and citrus blend and sure to please the outdoor type.
Candlelight Dinner
Plan a candlelight dinner. Send a formal invitation to your partner, with date, time and what type of attire will be appropriate. Leave some mystery as to what you are doing. Create a romantic ambiance with a pretty table cloth, candles, a bottle of her favorite wine or champagne and a romantic cd. Place a single red rose on the table. Prepare her favorite dishes. Dress up to show how special this occasion is and embrace her tightly as you slow dance to favorite songs.
Evening of Pampering
Create a gift basket with bubble bath, lotion, body spray, massage oil and a loofah. Include a bottle of champagne and scented candles. Strawberries dipped in chocolate will be a wonderful addition. Treat her to some ultimate pampering by running a bubble bath and pouring two glasses of champagne, one for each of you. After her bath, give a wonderful massage she'll never forget. Don't forget the feet. Your touch will have her purring.
Love Poem
Write a love poem. It doesn't have to be profound, but words that express how you feel. Print the poem on parchment paper, cut to fit and then insert into a pretty frame. This is a treasured and inexpensive gift, but one that keeps on giving.
Jewelry
Jewelry to a woman is a personal gift. Before deciding on what to get, pay attention to what she wears. Does she like gold, sterling silver, white gold or a combination? Is she more the dainty type or a bit more eclectic? For the dainty type a simple, yet elegant necklace or bracelet will be appreciated. For the more eclectic, chunky necklaces or bracelets work well. Indian jewelry is unique and offers a beautiful variety of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
Travel
If expense isn't an issue, take her to a place she's always dreamed of. This takes planning as you need to make sure her schedule allows time off. Print pictures of the place you are taking her and present it in a gift box with a personal note about how you want to fulfill this dream.
If money is lacking, the splendor of you with a bow tied around your neck will be quite memorable. The best gift is your heart and your time offered to the one you love.
