Temptation: THINK Before Acting
We all are tempted, but there's a big difference in the temptation to indulge in another bowl of ice cream and the temptation to cheat on a significant other. One is certainly far more destructive than the other.
It is my belief that the less clear our belief system is and the lower our self-esteem, the more we will give into temptation. If we don't lay clear boundaries for ourselves, we may very well cross a line that will cause great pain to ourselves and others.
Many opportunities will be presented in our lifetime that are tempting. You have to place firm your belief system, your values and think of the consequences before acting on the temptation. A body cannot do what the conscience doesn't allow.
When faced with a temptation, ask yourself what is the value in that temptation; what is the risk and consequences. THINK before acting upon temptation. When something is risky, but the temptation is intense, become more aware of your thoughts, your feelings. Don't allow temptation to control you. Control the temptation! The consequences are rarely worth the risk. It's your life. Don't create destruction to yourself or another person. Build a life based on a solid foundation of truth and honor.
